The Dutch Belgian Database Day 2024
The Dutch-Belgian DataBase Day (DBDBD) is a yearly one-day workshop, organized in a Belgian or Dutch university, whose general topic is database research. DBDBD 2024 will be held at Science Park in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
The seminar will be held on 22 November 2024, the day after the Dijkstra Fellowship ceremony.
At DBDBD 2024, junior and senior researchers from Belgium and The Netherlands can present their recent results, and meet fellow researchers in the field of data management. It is an excellent opportunity to meet up with your Dutch/Belgian colleagues, and to get informed about the (recent) database-related research performed in Dutch/Belgian universities. The workshop welcomes non-Dutch/Belgian participants (presentations are in English). DBDBD has a tradition of favouring presentations by junior researchers.
The workshop consists of oral and poster presentations. There are no printed proceedings. Abstracts of oral and poster presentations will be published on the DBDBD 2024 website.
In the final session of DBDBD 2024 we will host a number of talks from local industry as well as invited contributions by international guests from the Dijkstra Fellowship ceremony the previous day. This part of the program will be open as a meetup for a wider public interested in data management.
The event will be held in the Turing Room of the Science Park Congress Center, attached to CWI in Amsterdam.
Do not enter the CWI itself, rather, take the door to your left when in front of the main CWI entrance with its revolving door to enter the Science Park Congress Center.
Lunch will be held at cafe restaurant Polder, walking distance from the venue.
